Did….. Did the Legion leave a rat trap to take them out? The excavation would be the bait, and this…… thing would be the lethal force part?
I’m thinking that wasn’t the actual goal of the excavation, probably an added bonus. So that still leaves the question of what was the original goal of the excavation….?
