The AK in AK47 stands for "assault kalashnikov", which means "assault rifle" in Russian. That's because it's the Russian version of the AR15, which stands for "Assault Rifle 15". However, whereas the AR15 can only hold 15 rounds, the AK47 can hold a whopping 47.

A hostile force comes in, captures the place, then seems to have vanished when you return, what, a month later? Yeah, to quote a certain chain of movies…
I got a bad feeling about this…
Anyone still there or has everyone been removed for vicious purposes? Prisoner camps? I doubt they would leave any locals around if they all left, and the lack of transmissions (security patrols, units coordinating movements/efforts, etc) suggests the troops are no longer there…
A trap perhaps? Let the remaining hostile locals return, look around, a bit, maybe a couple more show up to investigate, then blow whatever is keeping it airborne, sending everyone falling to their death?
